Beschreibung
Seit 1866 verkörpert Brooks England Tradition und Handwerkskunst in der Welt des Radsports. Die in Smethwick in den West Midlands in England gegründete Kultmarke begann mit der Herstellung von Lederwaren und spezialisierte sich in den 1880er Jahren schnell auf Fahrradsättel. Einer berührenden Geschichte zufolge begann alles, als John Boultbee Brooks, ursprünglich ein Sattelmacher, nach dem Verlust seines Pferdes mit dem Unbequemlichkeit eines Holzsattels konfrontiert wurde, nachdem er sich für das Fahrrad entschied. Diese Erfahrung inspirierte ihn, eine bequemere Lösung zu entwickeln – und begründete die Brooks-Legende.

Im Laufe der Jahre hat Brooks England verschiedene Entwicklungen durchlaufen, ging in den 1950er Jahren in die Hände der Raleigh Bicycle Company über und wurde 2002 Teil der Selle Royal-Familie. Trotz dieser Veränderungen hat die Marke ihr Engagement für Qualität und Komfort stets beibehalten.

I like that this socket is light weight, made of aluminum with large easy to read size eched into the body. the oil filter housing is made of plastic and does not require a beefy heavy steel socket. The walls on this socket are plenty thick as to cause me no concern about durability. To me, the green color is a nice touch as will be easy to spot in my socket set for the oil changes.
