Der Fotograf Manuel Bauer, 1996 in Zürich geboren, ist bekannt für seine Arbeiten über Indien, Tibet und die Menschen im tibetischen Exil. Seit 2001 arbeitet Manuel Bauer am Portrait des Dalai Lama. Bauers Arbeiten werden weltweit in Magazinen publiziert und sind regelmäßig in internationalen Ausstellungen zu sehen. Für sein fotografisches Werk erhielt er zahlreiche Preise und Auszeichnungen, darunter den "World Press Photo Award" und den "Picture of the Year Award".
