Unterschiede zu anderen Tankring-Systemen: Im Vergleich zu den Lock-it Tankringen von HEPCO & BECKER, die zusätzlich mit Magneten zur Zentrierung arbeiten, bietet der Basic Tankring eine rein mechanische Verriegelung ohne magnetische Unterstützung. Beide Systeme verwenden den gleichen modellspezifischen Metallring, unterscheiden sich jedoch in der Art der auf dem Ring montierten Dome.

Weitere Hinweise: Ein Tankrucksack, der für das Lock-it System konzipiert ist, ist nicht mit dem Basic Tankring kompatibel und umgekehrt, da beide Produkte auf unterschiedlichen Befestigungssystemen basieren.
