Some light tearing by sleeve opening
Notes:
Early repressing with "LONG PLAYING MICROGROOVE" in one line with the "Lp" logo between "playing" and "microgroove". Asterix and dagger symbols are present to denote trademark notices. Release is housed in pink jacket that has a slightly different layout than [r5951908. Notably absent from this pressing is the word "vinylite". Cover also doesn't have flap like other versions of this 10" Lp do [see photos and compare linked versions to be sure you have the correct variation). There is also a version of [r2245305 with less text on cover. This is considered to be the very first 10" LP record. Released in 1948 using existing material that was originally issued as a 4-78rpm album in March 4, 1946 (catalog no. C-112). This 10" LP and the 12" LP [r=3899231 were both printed for the (soon to be announced) "Long Play LPs" for the Columbia catalog, and is considered the first (modern) 10 inch LP ever. Columbia Records unveiled both of these at a press conference in the Waldorf Astoria in June 1948.
