This design with the standard thickness bottom cooler and the thinner double light is designed to keep the intake temperatures below 50 degrees all the time by funneling half of the air straight through the bottom half of the intercooler and the rest flowing through the thinner top increasing both the amount of air able to fit into the intercooler and also increasing the speed In which It can flow through.
