Instaferm RED bakers yeast has the added benefit of elevated naturally occurring vitamin D2, a vegetarian source, as opposed to D2 coming from animals. It consists of small oblong particles with a porous structure. This permits its use in doughs without prior rehydration. It is a tan, free-flowing granule with a slightly yeasty aroma. Instaferm RED also contributes to good volume, rich color and excellent aroma in all yeast-leavened products. Instaferm red instant dry yeast is ideal for baking bread and sweet dinner rolls. Instaferm red instant dry yeast is ideal for making bread faster than using fresh yeast, as instant dry yeast just needs to be added to the other dry ingredients when baking bread. Applications: Instaferm RED is designed for optimal use in bread dough and other yeast-leavened products such as sweet breads and rolls, Danish and Doughnuts. Instaferm RED is designed for use in regular bread and high-sugar dough with up to 10% sugar.
Preparation Instructions: Mix the yeast into lukewarm water and let it rise. The high fermentation activity permits its use at a lower level than that required for Active dry yeast. We recommend between 1 & 1.5% based on flour weight.
