COURSE OVERVIEW:

Welcome to the Organise & Conduct Active Training course. This program will equip you with the techniques, strategies, and instructional design skills required to deliver highly engaging learning experiences. You will explore what makes training “active,” how to design learning environments that encourage participation, and how to use practical tools that support understanding, retention, and learner involvement. This course also examines creative facilitation methods—both in-person and online—that help trainers energise groups, maintain momentum, and support meaningful skill development.

This course begins by examining what active training and active learning are, and what distinguishes active methods from traditional, passive instruction. You will explore the characteristics that make training active, including learner participation, problem-solving, collaboration, and experiential methods. This section also introduces the best layouts for a training room, techniques for learning participants’ names, and the key questions that help uncover participant expectations. You will examine methods for obtaining participation, effective assignments for learning partners, and appropriate occasions to use response cards to stimulate engagement. This section concludes with multiple ways to make learning visual and techniques for activating a lecture to transform it from a one-way presentation into a dynamic learning experience.

The next learning area focuses on enhancing comprehension, retention, and involvement during instruction. You will explore how to build learner interest, maximise understanding, and reinforce lecture content through interaction, repetition, and demonstration. You will also learn strategies for involving participants during the lecture and examine common games used by trainers to energise the room. This section includes techniques for waking up or relaxing a group, methods for forming groups, and strategies for selecting group leaders or assigning roles within team-based learning activities. You will also explore facilitation techniques that support constructive discussion and effective communication within groups.

A further part of the program examines experiential and scenario-based training methods. You will explore options for role-playing—including scripting, staging, and debriefing—and the steps required to facilitate experiential activities safely and successfully. This section also provides timesaver strategies for using active techniques when time is limited, helping trainers maintain engagement while staying on schedule. You will also learn the best techniques for calling participants to order, the use of props to dramatise key concepts, and effective interventions for regaining control of a group when distractions arise.

The final learning area focuses on active learning in online environments. You will explore how to establish clear expectations for participation, provide etiquette guidelines for virtual communication, and create an effective teaching environment using digital tools. This section also covers how to get online participants involved through breakout groups, polls, collaborative documents, multimedia resources, and structured interaction strategies that mirror the benefits of in-person training.

By the end of this course you will be able to design and conduct active training sessions, manage group dynamics confidently, use a wide range of interactive techniques, reinforce learning effectively, and engage participants in both physical and virtual environments—resulting in training that is memorable, energising, and impactful.

Great value, Easy Set-up
Size: Freo S, Size: Freo S
I just got this vacuum and honestly, I’m pretty happy with it for the price. Here’s how it’s been going so far. Price: This thing is a steal. Works just as well as some of the more expensive ones I’ve had. Set up: It took maybe 5 minutes to get it going, and I didn’t even need to look at the manual. Super easy to set up and start mapping. Carpet: Does a great job picking up dog hair and dust on my low-pile carpet. Doesn’t miss a spot. Thresholds: It goes over low doorways and small lips—no getting stuck. Navigation: It uses structured light for obstacle avoidance, which is typically found in much higher-end models, and it really exceeded my expectations. The cleaning path is smooth, and it avoids furniture without bumping into anything. It just works. Base station: Very hands-off. It docks and charges itself. Plus, I love how sleek and simple it looks.

Good value for price
Size: Freo S
Update - returned due to lackluster battery power. It would vacuum on “regular”, and come back to recharge after less than a hour. It’s too bad, because otherwise it was great. This is a pretty good system for the price, especially if you have primarily hardwoods/tile. It’s not great on carpet, and I really need a vacuum with more suction power. It will not remove enough pet hair from my low pile and washable rugs to make the investment worth it. Battery does not last as long as other models I’ve tried. It returns to recharge many times for my 3000 sq ft. I have a multi level house, with multiple thresh holds (home has many additions). I need a vacuum that can save 6 maps. This only saves 3 - which to be fair is typical in this price range. I don’t even know if there is a vacuum that can save 6? WiFi was easy to connect. Not too noisy when running. Seems well-made. Just needs more suction for my needs. Overall this is a decent system for this price point. I need something more powerful so I’ll probably be upgrading.

Not slim
Size: Freo S
Update AGAIN! I have had it 7 months now and it started making a noise like it was stuck on something but theres nothing at all there. Contacted customer service and they said its the brush and lid, so they send a new one. Great. I get it and install it and it makes the noise still contacted customer service again and they said we can send a new brush and lid, i said i just received a new one and its still making that noise. Now they said we will get back to you soon but its been 5 days and nothing. I have contacted them again and still nothing Update. I’ve had this for several months now and theres a few problems beside it being not thin enough to go under furniture. I dont like to set up ‘task’ because its not always convenient at the same time each day so i usually just open app and push start. The problem is that it doesnt do all the rooms even if i have chosen all the rooms it also doesnt self empty unless i go into the app and self empty it. It does sometimes but not always. Now customer service says that i have to set up task, but why?! We should be in control of the robot not the robot of us. Also, you can not send it to a specific spot it missed. If i move my robot over a spot to revacume, it loses its mind and wants to start remapping. I still like that it vacumes well(besides missing here and there) but i do regret getting it. Also it sucks on edges, so i sweep the edges to it vacumes more. Will not keep them in mind for the futre. Received today. Way easier set up to wifi than the coredy. Way quieter too. Its not slim and wont go under my sofas , that was disappointing. It needs at least a 4inch clearance 5 to be safe. Dont recall seeing that in description but i could be wrong . It also doesnt have a way to manually navigate it , either a control or a way from the app. I will try it out since i like the quietness and the sucking power.

Good quality for the price
Size: Freo S, Size: Freo S
NARWAL Freo S — Truly Hands-Free Cleaning! I’ve been using the NARWAL Freo S Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo and I’m genuinely impressed. The 8000Pa suction is incredibly powerful — it picks up dust, crumbs, and even stubborn pet hair with no problem. The mopping function leaves my hard floors looking fresh and streak-free. What I love most is how hands-free it is. The self-emptying base really works — I don’t have to think about it for weeks, and they claim up to 180 days! The LDS navigation is super accurate, and the obstacle avoidance means it never gets stuck.

Not a mop, vacuum only
Size: Freo S
This is really only a vacuum. It is not a mop, at best it could be considered a “dry mop” but that doesn’t really clean floors. Good price, and it vacuums well enough. Doesn’t seem to get stuck nearly as much as my old Shark. I gave 3 stars because half of what the title says it can do is misleading/not true
