Originally conceived by Messerschmitt as Projekt 1065 in 1939, the Me 262 became the world’s first operational jet fighter. Entering service in 1944, its advanced jet-powered design made it significantly faster than most propeller-driven aircraft of the era. However, its overall wartime influence was limited due to late deployment and low production numbers. Today, RC pilots can experience this aviation milestone through the E-flite® UMX™ Me 262 Twin 30mm EDF, an ultra-micro replica that brings this historic aircraft to life. Featuring twin 3S-compatible power systems, it delivers exceptional performance in its class and stands out as one of the most distinctive ultra-micro models available.
The Messerschmitt Me 262 remains one of the most iconic and recognizable aircraft of World War II. As the first jet-powered fighter in history, it outpaced nearly every prop-driven opponent it encountered. The E-flite® UMX™ Me 262 Twin 30mm EDF is the most accessible and user-friendly model of this groundbreaking aircraft to date. It comes fully assembled and ready to fly, complete with a high-quality factory-applied paint and decal finish. Borrowing optimized power system technology from the popular UMX A-10, it supports 3S 600–850mAh batteries to meet modern EDF performance standards.
The model is equipped with expertly tuned AS3X stabilization and optional SAFE Select flight protection, along with real-time telemetry such as battery voltage when used with compatible transmitters. Its ultra-micro size allows it to be flown in smaller areas, including large parks and sports fields. The included fixed landing gear with a steerable nosewheel enables smooth taxiing, takeoffs, and landings on paved surfaces. For enhanced speed and vertical performance, the landing gear can be removed for hand launches using the automatic Hand Launch Assist mode, with reinforced nacelle bottoms providing protection during grass landings. Altogether, this aircraft delivers an authentic, affordable, and convenient Me 262 flying experience unlike any other model available.
