Today, if you were to measure 9 miles west from the Guilford Alamance County line you would locate the 1752 Orange Rowan line. Thus, 9 miles of the eastern part of Guilford County, originally was in Orange. Then in 1779, the bottom of Guilford County was separated forming Randolph Co. Then in 1785, the northern part of Guilford is also removed creating

Thus, 9-miles of the eastern part of Guilford County, originally was in Orange. Then in 1779, the bottom of Guilford County was separated forming Randolph Co. Then in 1785, the northern part of Guilford is also removed Ð creating Rockingham Co.
