Warren tells his story with a tongue-in-cheek style, and a deep appreciation of his good fortune in finding the perfect wife at seventeen. She was thirteen at the time. They married a month after her high school graduation, raised two wonderful children and have six grandchildren. Warren retired before Charlotte and found himself with time on his hands. She told him to "go sit down and write about your life". So he did.
