The three friends are running low on provisions when they find a boat which can take them on the mysterious Inner River to the Nexus Island--a hinge point between dimensions. There they find themselves caught in a civil war between Sheriff Raymont Raymont of Nexus Island and the Equivocal Smattering of Miscellaneous Territories, Etc. and the so-called Penguinistas.
