Thangkas are traditional scroll paintings which are used as supports for meditation. They usually depict various representations of deities, mandalas and enlightened beings. Since the outer representation of deities is often one of the first things we encounter, it is extremely important for these representations to be painted accurately in order to create the best karmic propensities for the teachings to flourish in the mind of the student. Khentrul Rinpoche has taken great care working closely with master Thangka painters and relying on the source texts to ensure the authenticity of each form.
Reproduced on high quality silk, these thangkas look beautiful when displayed and are also easy to roll for travel. You can choose to have your silk print thangka framed in beautiful brocade in the traditional Tibetan style in a variety of colors.
