The Adventures of Crazy Heels is dedicated to author Leslie Henry’s grandmother who made up the story of The Adventures of Crazy Heels when her mother was a child. Evie, the owner of the heels, is inspired by Leslie’s love of fashion and is named after her grandmother, Mary Evelyn. Henry wants children reading this book to know that they can do whatever they set their minds to, and they can draw inspiration from the world around them, whether it be a pair of shoes, or anything!
About the Author
Leslie loves all things fashion! She has been wearing high heels since she can remember, and she is the biggest girly girl! She’s very involved in her local community, church, and works as a full time real estate agent and investor. Wearing fun outfits and shoes is one of her favorite parts of the job! Designing and decorating homes is her passion, and part of her creative outlet.
Henry also loves to travel, sing, and, of course, shop. She hopes this book inspires readers to always be themselves and lean into what they love and sets them apart.
