Hamilton Chukka Boot Collection

  • Hand dyed conker brown patina
  • Burnished toe
  • Full calf leather lining
  • Blake stitched sole with commando rubber overlay

Hand finished conker brown patina

These are Italian crafted, conker brown chukka boots, made using full grain, calf leather. Our Hamilton chukka has 3 eyelets per side and the sweeping lines associated with Italian and European styling. Chukka boots are actually very versatile boots. You can dress them up or down depending on the occasion and the outfit. You can wear them casually, with jacket and trousers and many wear them with a suit. Conker brown is very versatile colour. It goes well with a neutral suit and pairs very well with blue and navy.

Craftsmanship/Attention to detail

Looking inside the boot, we see the a full calf leather lining, Thomas Bird branding, embossed into a piece of calf leather, foam backed for added comfort. The top line is neat, with no raw edges, as we taper or ‘skyve’ the edge, then fold and stitch it. We use a genuine full leather insole. Inside the heel, the reverse counter, we use suede to stop your heel slipping. We use round, waxed laces with are anti slip to keep your bows neatly tied up. What you can’t see are the two stiffeners, between the calf upper and lining. There is one in the toe and another at the back around the heel. These are important to keep the shoe looking good as it ages, and we use longer, high quality stiffeners to achieve this.

Stitched leather sole

The sole is stitched onto the upper with a traditional Italian method called Blake stitching. This an in-channel, lock stitching technique, so even if one stitch was worn the others will still be locked securely in place. And being stitched the sole can be replaced when it eventually wears. But to extend the sole’s life, we've added a rubber commando overlay, for added wear and better grip in tougher terrain.

Stacked leather heel

There is a 25mm genuine leather stacked and pinned rubber heel for grip and durability. High quality materials, superb craftsmanship, many years experience and attention to detail - our oxford Hamilton chukka is a beautifully made high quality shoe, that with care should give you many years of enjoyment.

Great play and chew toy!
Pattern Name: Star
The dogs love these! They're sturdy and give them plenty of chew time. The size is great and they are very playable. The dogs have a lot of fun and the weight is just enough for our little dogs.

Great Dane Tested and Approved 5 Star
Pattern Name: Checkered, Pattern Name: Checkered
A picture is worth a thousand words applies to this product, as you will see in the attached photos these stand up to the abuse of a Great Dane. He has dragged me around the yard for hours already with this in his mouth and the stretchy handle keeps it shape. This ball is a little firmer than others of these I have had in the past, which helps exercise his giant jaw. I could get a few weeks out of the other brands I have bought. This brand is still like new well past the time others have failed. I will be ordering more as my French Mastiff is interested in one of his own (the boys do not like to share toys - most dog guardians understand).
