Description:
Legendary Detroit emcee Phat Kat and Berlin bred DJ/Producer DJ Dister announce their new album The S.O.S. Project for a release on April 14th.

Standing for “So Old School” Dister’s soulful but dusty-break laden beats (which defined the J Dilla/Slum Village era) provides the perfect backdrop for Kat’s fiery 90’s honed flow. Speaking on how they linked up Dister said “we initially recorded a track called “Rappin Ass Rapper’s” on my album Consistent Knockouts (2015). The vibe was so dope that we decided to do a whole project together.”

The first evidence of this chemistry is in the single “Revolt For Change” a scathing social commentary as Kat says is “about police brutality excessive force and how our citizens are being treated like animals and the current situation our country and community is in.” Other tracks salute The “D” (as his home city is known) and retrace his personal Hip-Hop history (“The Monument” feat DJ Dez) or relate tales from the crime side (“Shots”, “Storm”).

An emcee’s emcee Phat Kat (aka Ronnie Euro) initially came up in the mid 90’s as part of a duo with J Dilla (then known as Jay Dee) known as 1st Down. Though legal troubles halted the group’s momentum, Kat and Dilla collaborated consistently over the following years. Kat’s recorded output also includes work with Black Milk, Slum Village, Elzhi, Guilty Simpson, Obie Trice and Flying Lotus. He has also toured worldwide including frequent trips to Europe to perform.

With a resume that stretches back fifteen years, DJ Dister was a strong part of the Berlin, Germany true-school Hip-Hop scene. In 2005 as part of the Born 2 Roll crew, he helped to organize the Born 2 Roll night, a monthly event at the Cassiopeia Club. This popular event drew thousands of attendees for over a decade and also drew performances from such names as KRS-One and De La Soul. He released two albums as a producer including the debut ROLL WIT DIS (2013) which featured appearances from Masta Ace, Kool G Rap, KRS-One, Fashawn and others. 2015’s Consistent Knockouts featured Jeru The Damaja, eMC, Phat Kat and others. Dister now resides in Los Angeles, CA and is working on several EP’s and albums currently.

Great sunscreen, but too pricey!
Size: 5 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I love COOLA products. They are a good substitute for my favorite sunscreens by Bare Republic - which was discontinued. Unfortunately COOLA products are very pricey. For that reason, I must use other brands where it makes sense. Trader Joe's spray sunscreen works very well and is $5.99. Coppertone Water Babies works for water sports. I'm saving my $28 COOLA lotion sunscreen for when I need a non greasy odor-free sunscreen, for example when I spend time in the sun followed by lunch out or shopping.

Would recommend this sunblock!
Size: 5 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
Loved this sunblock for my stay abroad in the Caribbean. Left no white cast, and barely had any sunblock smell. Felt like a lotion if anything, and best of all, I didn't get burned! Would recommend.

Great product for south Florida resident.
I LOVE this sunscreen so much! I have tried so many different sunscreens and they always leave me greasy and shiny in a few hours time. I live in south Florida and I know the importance of protecting my skin especially my face against the harsh sunlight. This sunscreen feels light and mousterizes my skin without leaving it greasy and oily. The light cucumber scent is absoluteltly lovely but in no way overpowering. It goes great under my makeup and doesn't have the sunscreen heavy feeling that I despise. It's a little pricey but I do plan on buying again when I run out. P.S my boyfriend also occasionally uses this moisturizer and he also enjoys it and says it feels like great quality stuff.

Organic face lotion and sunscreen in ONE!
I had been looking all over for an organic face lotion and sunscreen and was having a hard time. I tried several that left a white residue on my face and then I found this one. It has a nice, light, relatively thin consistently that absorbs very easily, without any residue or caking. I have tried both the unscented and the cucumber and I like both. I find the cucumber scent refreshing and not overwhelming- although I know others didn't like it. I think the 1.7 oz last about 3-4 months, which was awesome! And it is small enough to travel with on a plane! This is a fantastic product! I only wish it didn't cost so much!
