The Radar Union is one of the most versatile cross-over skis around, with its capabilities to ski anywhere from 24 to 32mph, making it the perfect everyman ski. An adjusted continuous rockerline on the Union uses a decreased rocker spot under the front foot into a traditional continuous rocker throughout the rest of the ski. This provides the skier with that speed that everyone knows and loves with the Union but makes it more predictable to handle, increases the ability to increase the angle of your turns, and generates speed earlier out of the turn. Increased depth in the concave throughout the entire ski provides increased lift in the tail and increased support in the turn, reducing tail blowouts. Topping all of this off is its traditional core construction with a machined aero core lined with Paulownia wood stringers and 100% carbon laminating for a fast, stable, and forgiving mid-range ski.

The Vector BOA is Radar's mid-tier open-toe boot that is designed to make your life easier. With an added BOA coiler for the bottom lace, you get unparalleled power over how your boot tightens and can set it in a cinch. The Vector now finds its home in a mid-level of stiffness, breaching the gap between performance stiffness and softer flex; it has a molded outer shell to offer support and performance laterally and around the heel. This is all housed in the feather frame 2.0 system, which combines a greater fit and comfort with increased functionality to jump between the front and rear full boots.

Waterski Features

Rocker

  • Continuous Rocker - A singular long continuous rockerline provides a considerably more stable and forgiving feel in transitions from edge to edge in the build-up to the apex of your cut, while without a flat spot, there is no longer a pivot point allowing for reduced sticking points and allows for consistency and comfort both on your on and offside
  • Reduced Rocker Under Front Foot - Increased the sweet spot providing a more predictable feel from your ski, providing greater drive through the ski, and increased hold and angle in turns.

    Flex

    • Flex Rating(1=Soft, 10=Stiff) - 5/10

    Core

    • PU Core - The most well known of cores to waterski's, it is a durable, slightly softer material meaning you can ski for longer and not feel as tired while also getting more flex into turns and less rebound when crossing the wash
    • Paulownia Wood Stringers - A softening material added to the core, allowing the ski to flex more through your turns and giving a more fluid and forgiving feel to the way you ski

    Laminates

    • 100% Carbon Laminates - A traditional carbon laminate layer that is tried and proven adds a snappy element to your ski, driving response through your cut and turns

    Shape

    • 2/10" Wider than Senate - Making the ski that bit wider gives it the capability to be skied as slow as 24mph while still being able to handle and turn without issue
    • Hybrid Bevel - This blended bevel allows for greater ability to lean into turns for more angle while providing greater deceleration into the turn and a tighter radius at the top of your cut
    • Wider For-body - an increase in width in the for-body of the ski not only creates stability but also allows you to stand over the top of the ski with more confidence before heading into your turns
    • Added Tail Width - Allows the ski to sit more level on edge and carry greater speeds

    Concave

    • Full Edge to Edge Concave - a full concave throughout the whole width of the ski creates a fluid motion and greatly supports your cut, giving you the ability to solely focus on where you want to place the ski.
    • Depth - Increased depth throughout the entire ski length creates more lift and support while also adding greater volume; this, in turn, translates to greater push on the outer bevels of the ski and an easier ability to pivot into your edges and a tighter turn radius.

    Other Features:

    • Switchblade Adjustable Fin
    • Tru-Line Boot and Fin Inserts

    Level

    • Riding Ability: Intermediate

                  Baseplate

                  • Feather Frame 2.0 Chassis - The lightest frame just got better. It reduces weight and creates a more natural flex in line with the ski. All on a functional frame that allows you to easily adjust from a front to a back full boot.

Slightly torn but invested for what's next
                    Format: Paperback
This is my first Benedict Brown book. I don't know what it was that it was difficult for me to "get into" this book. It almost felt dragged out in some parts instead of getting to the point. And other times it felt like the author was trying too hard, if that makes sense. Each time I picked it up, it took a bit to warm up to it then I couldn't put it down. Then again, I'd stop and have to start that process all over again and I have no idea why. It is funny in parts. Definitely a cozy mystery, none of the blood and gore. I did enjoy the twist, although it was in the back of my mind from the onset. I wouldn't say I won't read the next one, sometimes the first book in a series is not always the best....oddly I've found myself endeared to Marius and feel invested in knowing what adventure he'll face next!

Great new 1920's British Mystery Series
                    Format: Kindle
This is a 1920’s British mystery along the lines of Agatha Christie’s classic novels. It is the first book in the series and features a mystery writer – Marius Quin. The book begins with Quin having successfully published his first novel, but having problems meeting his publisher’s demand for a second. Depressed when he leaves his publisher’s office, he accidentally meets an old love of his, Bella, a woman he had wanted to marry ten years before but, because he was leaving to fight in WWI, he didn’t propose. It is Bella who invites him to a New Year’s Eve weekend party at Everham Hall, home of a famous film actor. During the weekend, one of their party is killed and so begins the hunt for the murderer, with Marius and Bella investigating. There are plot twists and turns until the denouement when the killer is revealed. I really like both of the main characters (Marius Quin and Bella), and I’m a fan of that time period and of country manor mysteries. I’ve enjoyed Benedict Brown's Lord Edgington novels and find this new series equally appealing.

New Year, new beginnings, new murder
                    Format: Kindle
Having run through the entire Lord Edgington Investigates series, it felt natural to jump over to this Marius Quin mystery. All in all, it’s not quite as funny as the banter between Lord Edgington and Christopher affords, but it’s still highly readable and offers the same weaving of clues to keep you entertained. What’s in store for you? Put together looming bills, writer’s block, a past lover, a New Year’s Eve party, a dead silent film star, a killer on the loose in a snowbound manor, and 6 perfectly good suspects—except they all seem so innocent if unlikeable (some more than others, one more than most)—which means Marius has his work cut out for him. So do you if you’re an armchair detective. So why 3 stars and not higher? I’m suffering from comparison syndrome. Marius and Bella don’t have a big enough gap between them (other than an historical romantic mishap) for belly-laugh comedic moments like Lord Edgington and grandson Christopher have. That won’t stop me from reading the next installment in the series, though, so I can let Marius and Bella grow on me as the author finds their rhythm.

                    Grown up version of Chrissy!
                    Format: Kindle
Marius Quin is a good character for Benedict Brown’s readers. There is a tie-in with Lord Edgington (and Chrissy) and Lord Edgington is referred to or almost mentioned a few times. This takes place in a huge old mansion with some history, that has to do with the murder, so I don’t want to spoil it. Marius does have a dog, but he’s not as involved with the story as Lord Edgington’s Golden Retriever, unless you think of his ability to judge characters.

                    A quite enjoyable, funny, mystery.
                    Format: Kindle
I really enjoyed this one, it was funny, great characters, fantastic pacing, solid twist at the end, although one thing was obvious to me but I can't say it because thats a spoiler. But I am really looking forward to the next book.
