The Lenovo DPI Enterprise PDU is engineered for modern data centers and demanding enterprise server rooms where uptime, efficiency, and scalable power management are non-negotiable. This enterprise-grade power distribution unit combines rugged hardware with advanced monitoring and control capabilities to deliver precise energy distribution, real-time visibility, and secure remote management. With Lenovo’s reputation for reliability and precision, the DPI Enterprise PDU helps IT and facilities teams reduce risk, optimize cooling strategies, and streamline rack-level power orchestration across dense deployments. Whether you’re outfitting a hyperscale rack, supporting a batch of blade enclosures, or provisioning a network hub, this PDU is designed to adapt to evolving workloads while preserving energy efficiency and operational continuity.

  • Intelligent power distribution with real-time monitoring and remote control. The DPI Enterprise PDU provides per-outlet or bank-level metering, live power usage data, and remote on/off capabilities. With a secure web UI, SNMP compatibility, and alarm notifications, operators gain instant insight into load distribution and potential bottlenecks. This enables proactive capacity planning, rapid fault isolation, and smarter maintenance windows, which translate into higher uptime and more predictable service levels for critical applications.
  • Scalable, modular design for high-density racks. Built to support expanding data centers, the DPI Enterprise PDU offers flexible configurations that accommodate varying outlet counts, input options, and mounting styles. Its modular approach makes it easy to upgrade rear-accessories, outlet modules, or sensor suites without replacing the entire unit. This scalability is essential for growing environments where space, airflow, and cable management are tightly controlled, helping you maximize rack density without sacrificing reliability.
  • Energy efficiency and cost savings through metering, forecasting, and scheduling. With comprehensive energy metering and utilization dashboards, you can track exact power draw by device or group, identify idle assets, and implement outlet-level scheduling to minimize wasted energy. The DPI Enterprise PDU supports peak-shift and setpoint alerts, enabling operations teams to tune cooling and workload placement. Over time, these insights drive meaningful reductions in electricity consumption, reduce PUE, and lower operating expenses across the data center.
  • Security, reliability, and compliant remote management. Enterprise-grade security features protect access to critical power infrastructure. Role-based permissions, secure authentication, encrypted communication, and tamper-evident logging help safeguard the PDU against unauthorized changes. Reliable operation is further supported by robust fault tolerance, redundant data paths where offered, and automatic firmware orchestration to keep devices up to date with the latest protections and performance enhancements.
  • Seamless integration with Lenovo ecosystem and data-center management tools. The DPI Enterprise PDU is designed to play well with Lenovo ThinkSystem servers, XClarity, and data-center management ecosystems. It provides standard management interfaces (including SNMP and HTTP/S) for easy integration with existing monitoring platforms. This interoperability ensures centralized visibility, consolidated alerting, and coordinated power and asset management across your entire Lenovo infrastructure, simplifying daily administration and long-term capacity planning.

How to install Lenovo DPI Enterprise PDU

  • Plan and verify model selection: Confirm the DPI Enterprise PDU model that matches your rack footprint, outlet needs, and input voltage requirements before attempting installation.
  • Mount in the rack: Use the provided mounting brackets to secure the PDU in a standard 19-inch rack, ensuring adequate clearance for cable routing and airflow around the unit.
  • Connect power and networking: Attach the PDU to the appropriate branch circuit using compliant power cords and circuit protection. Connect the management interface (Ethernet) to your data-center network, and configure any serial or console access if available.
  • Initial configuration: Access the PDU's secure web UI to set administrator credentials, define user roles, configure outlet groups, and enable energy metering features. Preserve default security settings and apply recommended firmware updates if required.
  • Create monitoring and safety rules: Establish alert thresholds for temperature, humidity, and current, set up notification channels, and configure outlet control policies. Validate remote power on/off functionality for select outlets under controlled conditions.
  • Test and validate operation: Power up devices incrementally, monitor live metrics, verify accurate metering, and confirm that automated alarms trigger as expected. Ensure proper airflow and cable management to prevent hot spots.

Great value - functions well with fairly easy setup.
I found the setup to be fairly simple. It performs exactly as I hoped. I needed a printer, copier and scanner - it is a great value. I did have to do some research to complete the scanner setup - that could have been easier overall.

Office‑grade, solid, fast, and capable.
I didn’t just buy a different printer — I moved up a class. Compared to my Canon PIXMA: I feel about the Epson WF 4834 the way someone feels when they finally replace a flimsy folding chair with an actual piece of furniture. The difference isn’t subtle — it’s structural. Price is awesome. I’m getting my money’s worth and more. Solid machine. Super easy to install on my network. Wireless connection is great! I print from different rooms all the time. Print quality is outstanding, professional looking. Easy to use, period. So far, I’m not disappointed.

Great Value! Great Printer
THE ONLY reason I can't give it a five is because it is the only printer I have ever seen with two trays that you have to print one or the other. Aside from that, BEST Scanner App EVER! Easy!! Hardly ever jams and then only when I put too many in, rushing to finish. The quality is fantastic!

Hands down, the WORST printer I have ever owned. In THIRTY years.
I love Epson print quality so when my Epson finally bit the dust I HAD TO have another Epson. After lots of research I bought this one. It takes FOREVER to wake up and print. It shouldn’t take 5 minutes to wake up. I am a VERY light user. At the time of this initial review I'd maybe printed 500 pages total, so it's not like this thing has been put through the ringer or anything. This thing CONSTANTLY jams. Or says it’s jammed. It may or may not be. But you’ll have to go through the motions every time you want to use it anyhow. It burns through ink faster than a cracked out toddler dumping paint all over the floors and walls. WHEN ONE COLOR RUNS OUT YOU CAN NO LONGER PRINT B&W I’m sure there are more reasons why I hate this printer, I’ll try to come back to add them if I think of them. THIS PRINTER HAS INSPIRED ME TO DISASSEMBLE MY OLD EPSON AND BECOME A PRINTER REPAIR TECH IN MY FREE TIME IN HOPES OF GETTING THAT ONE TO WORK. I don’t recommend that route either. I think Epson has lost me forever. All I want is a printer with their great print quality, two paper trays that accept different sizes, and a rear loader for heavier paper, that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. My old WorkForce did all of that beautifully and for whatever reasons they decided that shouldn’t be an option anymore. RUDE. UPDATE: This pile of junk will ALSO say that it is out of paper when in fact it is not. I hate it, so so so much.
