It is monophonic (one voice at a time) and provides audio output (plus a signal input/mix function on the rear), with front-panel controls that let you alter parameters such as pitch, pitch sensitivity, decay/duration, and pitch sweep, allowing the internal sounds to be shaped well beyond fixed drum-machine hits.
