Magnesium glycinate with melatonin for solid nighttime chill

Insane Labz Nightmare Sleep is a bedtime powder that helps cut nervous tension, relax before sleep, and make falling asleep smoother. It's not for coming down from stims, and it's not fully open about doses. You get one clear ingredient: 420mg magnesium as magnesium glycinate. Then there's a 4.3g proprietary Nightmare Blend with GABA, agmatine sulfate, chamomile extract, valerian root extract, nobiletin, OXYGOLD® fulvic acid, and melatonin. The idea is simple: pair a key mineral for chilling your muscles and nerves with quick calmers, herbal relaxers, and sleep timing helpers.

The magnesium is the star here. Magnesium glycinate is easy on the stomach and gets absorbed better than cheap stuff like magnesium oxide. Studies show 300-500mg a day helps your body in general, and it calms you by tweaking NMDA receptors and supporting your nerves. In real life, this can make you feel less tight, less fidgety, and ready to crash. Quick note: the label says 420mg magnesium 'as magnesium glycinate,' which usually means the actual magnesium amount, but sometimes labels get tricky with totals. If it's really 420mg usable magnesium, that's a good hit. If not, you're getting less.

Melatonin is the other solid piece, even if the dose is hidden in the blend. It's not like sleepy herbs—it acts as a chronobiotic, basically telling your body it's sleep time. Meta-analyses support melatonin for improving s

IL Nightmare Sleep by Insane Labz contains 420mg Magnesium, a effective dose for muscle recovery and growth.

Key Highlights

  • 420mg Magnesium as Magnesium Glycinate — this is the real deal in the formula, and a smart pick for bedtime. It absorbs better and goes down easier than cheap oxide versions, perfect for relaxing without gut issues.
  • Magnesium is the only ingredient with a full dose shown, and that's huge. In sleep supps, knowing at least one dose lets you check it against what works, instead of total guesswork.
  • 4.3g Nightmare Blend — that's a hefty blend size compared to skimpy sleep powders. But hey, seven ingredients split that 4.3g, so you don't know exactly how much calm or sleep support you're getting per scoop.
  • Melatonin is in there for straight-up help falling asleep, not just herbs. It adds that body clock nudge, great if your problem is hitting the hay on time, not just unwinding.
  • Nobiletin brings a cool circadian boost most basic sleep aids skip. Early studies show it can strengthen your internal clock, which is awesome for messed-up schedules.
  • GABA targets that 'wired but wiped' vibe. Oral GABA studies are iffy on brain crossing, but lots of folks feel calmer and less buzzed after taking it, so it's a popular add in sleep mixes.
  • Chamomile extract adds that classic chill from tea you know. It's here for gentle calm, not knocking you out, rounding out the blend nicely.
  • Valerian root extract takes it to real sleep aid level. It's famous for cutting bedtime jitters and helping you slide into a deeper rest.

Who Is This For?

  • Late-night gym goers who're wiped physically but brain's on fire. Magnesium glycinate, GABA, valerian, melatonin combo hits that tired-but-wired spot.
  • Shift workers or random-schedule folks fighting sleep timing. Melatonin and nobiletin make it better for clock issues than just minerals.
  • Stressed workers with racing thoughts, tight body, tough unwind after work or screens. Targets mental calm and physical ease.
  • Athletes in heavy training who know good sleep ups tomorrow's game. Magnesium relaxes nerves, powder ritual builds recovery habits.
  • Folks who dig powder over pill piles. Packs magnesium, herbs, melatonin in one easy scoop for better stick-to-it.
  • Users who like herbal sleep vibes with modern twists. Chamomile and valerian for classic calm, nobiletin for rhythm support.

How to Use

Mix 1 scoop in 6-8 oz cold water, drink 20-30 min before bed. Gives melatonin and calmers a head start. If you're new to this or sensitive, half-scoop first to check next-day feels. Shake or stir hard—powders mix better that way. Take after your last bite, not with a big meal, since heavy food can dull the effect and slow sleep. Don't stack with extra melatonin, valerian, or sleep stuff unless you know doses—blend hides amounts. Cut late caffeine or stims to let it shine. Best daily for routine-building. Store cool, dry, lid tight for fresh scoops.

What to Expect

0-10 min: Just sipping a flavored drink, no rush or buzz. 10-25 min: Starts subtle—less tightness, less fidget, body easing off. 20-45 min: Peak time, with magnesium, calmers, and melatonin teaming up for prime pre-sleep feels. 45-90 min: Be in bed by now if your setup's good—no screens fighting it. Days 1-7: Easier unwind and sleep start. Weeks 2-4: Nightly scoops let melatonin and nobiletin build a solid routine.

Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of sleep formula is Insane Labz Nightmare Sleep?

Nightmare Sleep is a powdered nighttime support formula built around 420mg magnesium as magnesium glycinate plus a 4.3g proprietary blend containing GABA, agmatine sulfate, chamomile extract, valerian root extract, nobiletin, OXYGOLD® fulvic acid, and melatonin. It is designed to help with wind-down, sleep onset, and bedtime routine consistency rather than daytime relaxation.

How much magnesium is in Nightmare Sleep?

Each serving lists 420mg magnesium from magnesium glycinate. That is the only fully disclosed active dose on the panel, and magnesium glycinate is a smart form choice for bedtime because it is generally more bioavailable and better tolerated than many cheaper magnesium forms.

How much melatonin is in this formula?

The exact melatonin dose is not disclosed. It is included inside the 4.3g proprietary Nightmare Blend, so you know it is present, but you cannot verify the individual milligram amount from the label.

Is Nightmare Sleep fully transparent?

No. Magnesium is disclosed at 420mg, but the remaining seven actives are hidden inside a 4.3g proprietary blend. That means you cannot confirm the exact doses of GABA, agmatine, chamomile, valerian, nobiletin, OXYGOLD®, or melatonin.

When should I take Insane Labz Nightmare Sleep?

Take 1 scoop mixed in 6-8 ounces of water 20-30 minutes before bed. That timing gives the melatonin and calming ingredients a chance to start working before you want to actually be asleep.

Can I use Nightmare Sleep after late-night training?

Yes, that is one of the most logical use cases for the formula. The magnesium glycinate, GABA, valerian, chamomile, and melatonin combination is aimed at helping users unwind when training leaves them physically tired but mentally alert.

Will this make me groggy the next morning?

It depends on your sensitivity, especially to melatonin, and the exact melatonin dose is not disclosed. If you tend to feel groggy from sleep aids, start with a half scoop and assess your response before moving to a full serving.

What makes nobiletin interesting in a sleep formula?

Nobiletin is included for circadian-rhythm support rather than direct sedation. Preclinical research suggests it can enhance molecular clock function, so it adds a sleep-timing and rhythm angle that goes beyond simple drowsiness.

Is agmatine sulfate normal in a sleep supplement?

It is not a standard anchor ingredient in sleep formulas, and it stands out as one of the more unusual inclusions here. Without a disclosed dose, it is difficult to assess how much it meaningfully contributes to the nighttime experience.

Can I stack this with another melatonin product?

That is generally not the smartest approach unless you know exactly how your body responds and are intentionally managing total melatonin intake. Since Nightmare Sleep hides the melatonin amount inside a proprietary blend, stacking separate melatonin makes total dosing less predictable.

My new favorite shirts!
Fit Type: Regular Fit, Color: Grey, Size: Large
These are my new favorite shirts! I just ordered a 3rd. i wish there were more colors. Yes, the cotton is heavy-weight and I like that. They are just a bit warmer than regular dress shirts. The fit is excellent. I'm 5'9", 200lbs and L fits perfectly. Enough room without being blousy. The sleeves are long enough (finally!). (Most other 16.5/32-33 shirts always have sleeves that are too short). The fit/finish and detail is surprisingly good. They don't really shrink after washing and come out very soft. Not wrinkle-free, but that's ok since it means that the 100% cotton hasn't been dosed with chemicals. I expect they will wear very well over time.

Quality shirt. Not too blousy.
I'm 5'11" and hover around 175-180 lbs. so I'm a pretty average guy. I've been thin my whole life but now I'm in my 40's so if I don't watch it, my stomach will get bigger. I bought this shirt in slim-fit first. It was perfect but since these shirts are 100% cotton, I was concerned that after a couple washings, it would be too small (especially in the stomach area). I returned the slim-fit and bought this regular-fit (medium). For this review, I thought it would be helpful to compare the Amazon Essentials shirt to The Gap's regular oxford shirt. I've always liked the fit of Gap oxford shirts. Upon inspection, the weight and feel of the Amazon oxford cloth is exactly the same at the Gap's. I laid one of my old Gap shirts on top of this Amazon Essentials oxford. You can see from the pictures that the torso cut is exactly the same (about 21 inches pit-to-pit seam). I like that. I'm not a fat guy and I don't want a blousy shirt. This is neither too blousy nor too slim. Just right. The sleeves are perhaps 1/2 inch longer than the Gap shirt. Perhaps one negative is the tail. The Amazon Essentials tail is 1.5-2" longer than the Gap shirt. This makes the Amazon Essentials shirt a touch long for wearing untucked in my opinion. However, if you do tuck, a longer shirt stays tucked-in. So it depends how you want to wear it. I have a lady who does alterations. She'll charge $10 to shorten the tail if I wanted that. If I do have the Amazon shirt altered, it would still be a bargain. These are good quality shirts with a nice cut to them. I won't hesitate to buy them again. Highly recommended.

Decent quality. Sizing is normal but a bit generous in the midsection
Fit Type: Regular Fit, Color: White, Size: Large
I was impressed. Shirt is of fairly decent quality- thick cotton. My husband is normally a large. Given the sizing chart we almost ordered a medium, but it was good we bought a large. The sleeves are perfect but afraid it may shrink in the dryer. I think the reason people say loose fit is because it is boxy (square). Fine under a suit and we needed it urgently.
