Rosso rubino intenso al calice. Il sorso è ben bilanciato e giocato tra componente tannica, freschezza e aromaticità. Ottima la persistenza.Arriva da un cru prestigioso situato nel cuore della tenuta di Barthenau, che conta piante di viti di sessantacinque anni e oltre. Il Pinot Nero Barthenau Vigna S. Urbano, dell Alto Adige e prodotto dalla cantina Hofstätter, matura prima in barrique per un anno e poi in botti grandi per otto mesi. Si completa con ulteriori otto mesi di affinamento in bottiglia. Di grande impatto al naso e straordinariamente aromatico al sorso: è un vino importante, particolarmente aderente al terroir di appartenenza e altamente espressivo del varietale da cui è ottenuto. Fantastico.
Da abbinare alle portate a base di carne rossa o selvaggina, è ottimo insieme alle pernici con risotto.

What a wonderful mystery, a grand heroine who is polishing her detective skills.
All the pomp of the gentile classes at their play. Murders, theft, and dogs in the highlands, what could be better?

Promising start to new mystery series.
Format: Kindle
Lady Persephone "Poppy" Proudfoot attends a house party at an estate, meets some American actors, and tries to solve the murder of a stranger to the village whose body is discovered by the lake. The first in a series, this book is a quick read with a plot that moves along, although some of the large cast of characters seem superfluous (e.g., the American visitors). Poppy is a widow, a law-school graduate (in the 1920s!), and ran a hospital for wounded soldiers during WW1, so an interesting character to read about. A promising beginning to the series and I look forward to the next book. Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for the eARC.
