They are easily changeable and can be done on the side of the road; they won’t even take up much room in your bags.

Slip-on Covers are not fully waterproof. While it might look like there is water within the light, It's just behind the lens of the Slip-on Covers. The water can be removed by taking off the cover and letting it dry. You can also use a clean microfiber cloth to dry both the light and the Slip-on Covers of water.
