Її донька, Оксана Стринадюк — акторка, режисерка та популяризаторка української літератури, — слухаючи й переймаючи від мами, вирішила: ці співанки мають і далі звучати. Дати їм нове життя, поширити, проспівати разом — так народилася ідея цієї збірки.

У збірці є різноманітні розділи: любовні, до набутку, жартівливі, сороміцькі, полонинські, житейські, а також окремі знані співанки та веселі поговорки.
