This sculpture made by Alastair Gibson and Carbon Art 45 is a version of the original ‘racing mako’. It is the actual size of a Mako pup at birth. This sculpture captures the racing-look of the fastest shark in our oceans.

Sculpture limited to twenty five pieces with 2 artist proofs.

Body: Carbon fibre 2 x 2 twill 200 gsm, 2.4 mm thick. Coated with UV resistant clear coating and painted detail.

Dorsal and underside fins: Silver coated 0.5 mm photo etched stainless steel.

Tail and Pectoral fins: Silver coated 0.5 mm photo etched stainless steel.

Exhausts: Water system PRV 75° fitting adapted to suit, vapourmat blasted and coated silver.

Marking detail: Black water transfer

Teeth: Printed chrome on black Decal.

Mounting base and rod: Mounted on a black coated wooden base with Firestone tyre ID logo and a gear from a modern Formula One GP car and stainless steel rod. *

Mounting methods: Desk mounted.

Dimensions: L 600 mm W 200 mm H 375 mm on base.
