Mar de Frades is een grote speler in de regio Rias Baixas in Galicië in Spanje. In 1987 werd het wijnhuis opgericht en heeft het zich weten te specialiseren in de inheemse druivenrassen Albarino en Godello. Deze druiven gedijen goed in de regio Rías Baixas en geven de wijnen hun kenmerkende smaak en aroma. Het wijnhuis hecht ook veel waarde aan duurzaamheid en werkt volgens ecologische principes om de impact op het milieu te minimaliseren. Met zijn unieke flesontwerp en bijzondere wijnen neemt Mar de Frades je mee op een culinaire reis langs de kust van Galicië en laat je kennismaken met de smaken en aroma's van deze prachtige regio. De Albarino druiven worden volledig met de hand geoogst en in kleine dozen naar de wijnmakerij gebracht. Hierna volgt een strenge selectie waarbij alleen de allerbeste druiven nog overblijven. Na dit selectieproces worden de druiven geperst en volgt de gecontroleerde fermentatie bij 15 graden. Alles staat in het teken van het verkrijgen van rijke en intense aroma’s. Hierna volgt de tweede fermentatie op fles bij 12 tot 13 graden, samen met rijping op de droesem. Deze sprankelende wijn van Mar de Frades verschijnt met een goudgele kleur in het glas. In de neus een fijn en complex aroma van eucalyptus en wit fruit. I love the texture! Its silky smooth and light on the skin, no weird smell, very moisturizing. Ive used one of the containers for most of my pregnancy to keep the skin on my belly and hips moisturized. I add a few drops of organic frankincense to a nickel-sized amount of this balm and mix it together in my hands before applying. I use a clean q-tip to scoop out the tallow balm as needed too to be sure the rest in the jar stays clean, rather than using my washed fingers, to reduce accidentally contaminating the rest of it somehow. My skin has stayed so healthy thanks to this product. It reduces the itchiness of my expanding skin from the baby growing in my belly, and i think its made a positive difference in preventing stretch marks by keeping my skin hydrated as i use it almost daily and after every shower. I just got my second jar in the mail to use for this last month of my pregnancy, and I will probably use it for my baby when hes born too.
I also love that it comes in nice packaging, with a thank you note, very minimal plastic, and classy label. I dont think the jar is plastic either which i LOVE (pretty sure its glass container?) Thank you to the creators of this product. I kind of wish i could get it in a glass dispenser like lotion but i really dont care at the end of the day. Its amazing. You should try it.

This product is really good, I researched it because it is the closest to human skin, and that was what it did help me repair my skin that was injured after an allergy of more than two months. I felt that I had lost the elasticity and shape of my skin, this fat stuck to me and made me feel safe again.

At 56 years old my skin is pretty dry but this was still a little to heavy for a face cream-- but usable in a pinch. What it is PERFECT for is for your hands before you go to sleep at night. You know you're going to touch your face and pillow during the night so heavily fragranced creams aren't good at all. This is thick enough to make your hands and cuticles feel great but gentle enough not to cause problems if transferred onto your face.

This product feels fantastic when you put it on. A little goes a very long way so you get a lot for your money. It does work great after just lightly drying your face. There isn’t much of a smell, which I prefer. I have very sensitive skin and this is so soothing to use. I’m also in my late 40’s so the soft, plump and smooth look achieved after using this is so nice. If it makes your skin greasy at all you are using too much.
