De kussens worden geverfd met natuurlijke pigmenten zoals indigo, henna en safraan, en kunnen daarom niet in de wasmachine of handwas (ze mogen niet nat worden). Omdat ze met de hand worden gemaakt, kan elk stuk enigzins verschillen qua afmetingen.
