Instant Access Point (IAP) oplossing
Met de Instant Access Point oplossing van Aruba kunt u met gemak een managed WiFi-netwerk opzetten zonder aanschaf van een controller die het netwerk beheert. De Instant Access Points zijn namelijk voorzien van een interne virtuele controller.
Eén van de Aruba IAP-205 access points wordt ingesteld als virtuele controller. Dit access point zorgt ervoor dat het WiFi netwerk centraal wordt aangestuurd. De virtuele controller regelt de authenticatie van clients, pusht de configuratie, VLAN's, ARM en bezit firewall-taken. Zo kunt u beschikken over een centraal managed WiFi-netwerk zonder dat u een relatief dure controller aanschaft.
Mocht het access point met virtuele controller uitvallen, dan wordt deze automatisch overgenomen door een ander Aruba IAP in het netwerk. Hierdoor gaat het draadloze netwerk niet down en kunt u gewoon door blijven werken.
