This compact standards conversion unit is designed to ensure that every signal in a production chain matches perfectly, regardless of source format. Built with high quality Teranex processing algorithms, it provides reliable format conversion between all common SD and HD standards, making it indispensable in environments where multiple devices with mixed formats must interact seamlessly. It accepts input via either SDI or HDMI, automatically detecting the signal type and resolution. This auto detection streamlines setup and eliminates the risk of feeding incompatible formats into downstream equipment.
The converter supports up, down and cross conversion between resolutions such as 720p and 1080p, as well as interlaced standards like 1080i. It is capable of processing progressive, interlaced and PsF formats up to 1080p60. By using the built in reference input, the unit can re‑synchronize incoming signals to match house sync. This capability ensures stable output for broadcast switchers, routers and monitoring systems. The inclusion of automatic audio delay preserves perfect lip sync even when video is processed through format changes.
With both SDI and HDMI in and out, the converter bridges professional and consumer equipment effortlessly. It can take an HDMI signal from computers or cameras and convert it to broadcast ready SDI, scaling computer resolutions like 640×480, 800×600 and 1024×768 to standard HD formats. This is particularly useful for presentations, digital signage or projection workflows where computer-based content must match broadcast specifications. Output via HDMI supports EDID, allowing connected displays to communicate their supported formats to the converter. The device uses 4:2:2 YUV processing with 48 kHz, 24 bit embedded audio for clean signal reproduction.
Its rugged metal housing and compact size make it suitable for portable flypacks or permanent installations. Control is managed via small physical switches on the converter’s body, and firmware updates are performed over USB. Power is provided through a universal 12V supply with international adapters, enabling global deployment. The highly efficient design consumes only 5 watts, making it suitable for multi‑converter racks and mobile production kits. With broad compatibility, high end Teranex conversion and a dependable feature set, this converter ensures your workflow remains format consistent, stable and broadcast ready.

Just linear
Format: Paperback
I appreciate that it helps to organize the chaos of information, but I just used the template verbatim with my manager and it did not go very well. He said this linear approach does not work anymore with high-level corporate audiences. They want to cut right to the chase and start to dig into the deep details. This layout with simple images, even if you just pull away the map and anchor slides, makes the storytelling too much like a story, not giving enough credit to the speed at which certain audiences can and do process data on a slide. It was an interesting exercise and I still think this linear layout works in some cases. Just not if you are trying to communicate business case or other C-suite type of information.

Good and thorough!
Format: Paperback
I was amazed to see a thick book arriving in the package and spent quite some time reading this. The book is so hands-on. I build agentic systems at work and going through these concepts felt good. My only complaint is that the code snippets are not up to date for which I had to edit my code several times.
