Java is het eerste eiland waar koffie op verbouwd werd in Indonesië. Hoewel door verschillende omstandigheden de kwaliteit enigszins gecompenseerd is, is de kwaliteit nog steeds goed tot zeer goed. Sommige koffieliefhebbers willen zelfs niets anders meer.
