De benaming Gran Terroir de Los Andes heeft hij gekregen omdat de wijngaarden alle positieve invloeden krijgt van het Andes gebergte. Zo krijgen de druiven veel warmte door de zonnige middagen maar ook koelte van de wind die over de berg slaat. Casa Silva had dit al snel door en heeft al ruim 40 jaar geleden hier prachtige wijngaarden aangelegd, en dat proef je terug in deze wijn. De Angostura wijngaard ligt waar vroeger de oude bodega lag, deze is inmiddels verhuist naar een moderne plek maar de oude stokken staan er nog steeds en gelukkig maar. De druiven worden allemaal volledig met de hand geoogst en gesorteerd. De druiven worden bij aankomst in de wijnmakerij direct terug gekoeld tot 5 graden en daarna worden de hele trossen direct geperst, zonder schilcontact. De gisting neemt drie weken in beslag en vindt plaats op 15 graden. 30 procent van de wijn verblijft nog zes maanden op Franse eikenhouten barriques, de rest op roestvrijstaal. Dat levert een prachtige, moderne en bovenal fruitige Chardonnay op.Houtlagering voor de Chardonnay Angostura Gran Terroir
Omdat de wijn al zo vol is van zichzelf is meer houtlagering niet nodig, want dat haalt de verfijning weg uit de smaak volgens de wijnmaker. De kleur van de wijn is al veel belovend, goud geel met groene tinten. Tropisch fruit in de geur die de bovenhand heeft, met een delicate hint van artisjok. In de smaak, boterachtig met vers witte perziken, abrikozen en mango's maar ook een kenmerk van honingtonen en uitstekende afdronk met een lichte toon van citrus. De Casa Silva Gran Terroir Chardonnay past goed bij gegrilde vis, krab, kreeft, gamba’s, langoustines, gebraden kip en gekruide pasta's. Ook lekker bij harde kazen.Shipping Notes

Excellent book, but NO chapters between books in the index

Excellent book, with a complete introduction that covers different points of view of the creation of such work of art, it can be seen that it was translated with a team of high academic preparation and knowledge on the subject. It was translated with a lot of precision, respect, professionalism and with much seriousness to the subject. The book is made with high quality and its pages are quite thick. The only mistake that I could notice and it is difficult for me not to be upset, is that they created the index and left out the chapters of each book. For me it is a gross error in comparison with other versions. It's the reason why I could not give 5 stars.

A much needed translation that turned out beautifully
Format: Hardcover
Two things make this translation of the Picatrix a must have for any fan of the work. First, it has an index, and it's a really nice index that is fairly complete. Second, the paragraphs are numbered, so we can refer to things as being mentioned in Picatrix 3.4.1, and then somebody else can go look it up and say, "Ha ha, good one." The translation seems to be really solid, too. It's a great edition.
