Hoe actueel wordt de Bijbel wanneer een kunstenaar zich erin verliest? Vanriet heeft de boodschap van het Oude en Nieuwe Testament omgezet in ruim 80 suggestieve doeken. Hij combineert daarbij historisch besef met een sterk hedendaagse bewogenheid. Het Koninklijk Museum voor Schone Kunsten Antwerpen toont van 22 oktober 2005 tot 31 januari 2006 een keuze uit de voorstudies en de tekeningen voor de Testamenten. Het boek ‘Testamenta-voorbereidend werk’ toont deze tekeningen en aquarellen die Vanriet maakte als voorbereiding voor de bijbelcyclus
