Open trays are versatile trays designed for plant propagation and cultivation. They are widely used by commercial nurseries, gardeners, horticulturists and plant enthusiasts, mainly for seed germination and the rooting of cuttings. These trays feature an open design, providing ample space for plants to grow and thrive, as well as providing easy access to the plants themselves.
The Desch Open Tray is manufactured by thermoforming, which is a process whereby high-tech machines use flat, extruded rolls of plastic and heated moulds to press the plastic into the shape of the mould, and is a common manufacturing method to produce a wide variety of nursery pots and containers that are both lightweight and cost effective. It has excellent drainage, thereby reducing the risks of waterlogging and root rot. This tray is ideal for all horticultural and gardening environments and is available in bundles of 10 or 100, or as a full pallet of 2 400.
