Description:

Through the linked pieces of The Coral Sea, Patti Smith honors her comrade-in-arms Robert Mapplethorpe (1946-1989). She tells the story of a man on an ocean journey to see the Southern Cross, who is reflecting on his life and fighting the illness that is consuming him. Metaphoric and dreamy, this tale of transformation arises from Smith's knowledge of Mapplethorpe from a young man to a mature artist; his close relationship with patron and friend, Sam Wagstaff; his years surviving AIDS; and his ascent into death. The Coral Sea is Smith's lyrically compelling recasting of her grief to recapture Mapplethorpe's life in the past and his future in his art. Rich in evocative details, it shows the man beneath the persona.

This edition features a new introduction and new material by Smith.

Wooden Cutting Board
Color: Glue-Free Surface - Rectangular, Set name: 12"L x 9"W
The purchase of a wooden cutting board was another selection in my quest to eliminate plastic from my environment when feasible. I had forgotten how great a wooden cutting board is to use. This one is solid, beautiful, and worked well with a sharp knife. It stayed firm on the counter, without sliding. The trough around the perimeter was effective in keeping any fluids from spilling onto the counter top. The size was perfect, allowing me to easily cut and contain the vegetables I was dealing with. Yet it was small enough to easily store and pull out for use. I followed the instructions for caring for the board, washing it with soapy water, drying it immediately, and wiping it with food safe oil. It’s been a solid purchase that will undoubtedly be a workhorse in my kitchen. The first use allowed me to toss my 3 cutting boards that I’ve been using for years and were worn. I’m anxious to see if it holds up with the daily use I’ll undoubtedly subject it to.

Best Comentary for the layman/bible teacher
Format: Hardcover
The PNTC comentaries never dissapoint, they are the very best comentarys that i have found for those who do not read greek and may have a bit of bible college.. they are technical but not too technical, in depth but not too much. and you can always trust the General Editor DA Carson... i have several other comentary series but this is the best and all of them are rated very highly by the experts..

Concise yet thorough treatment of the difficult passages.
Format: Hardcover, Format: Hardcover
Excellent, balanced, thorough treatment of the pastoral epistles. Highly recommended. Note: Customer 7 above is incorrect in stating that Yarbrough doesn’t reference or quote Hubner on 1 Tim 2:12. You will find Hubner on pages 175 and 176.
