I hate washing dishes so I use these Dixie plates a lot and they are STURDY. They will carry a whole meal without wilting. For a picnic or a walking-around party they would be the best for preventing spills. But what I enjoy is their versatility. You can even rinse them off and use them again if they've had light use.
