Level 3 Sound and Wellbeing Practitioner Diploma

Applied Sound Practice with Individuals and Groups

12-Month Diploma Pathway
Monthly Payment Plans Available

October 2026 Intake

Prerequisite: Level 1 Sound for Wellbeing

Includes specialist training in Sound Bath Practice and Group Sound Facilitation.

The Level 3 Sound and Wellbeing Practitioner Diploma builds upon the listening-led foundations established through Level 1 Sound for Wellbeing and supports practitioners wishing to deepen their professional sound practice.

The diploma explores the application of sound within both individual and group settings, supporting the development of awareness, practical skill, confidence, and professional responsibility.

Rather than focusing solely on performance or fixed techniques, the emphasis is placed on listening, observation, participant experience, and responsive practice within real-world contexts.

Overview

The Level 3 Sound and Wellbeing Practitioner Diploma supports the development of applied sound practice with individuals and groups.

Participants explore how sound may be offered within professional settings through a listening-led and reflective approach, grounded in awareness, context, ethics, and participant experience.

The diploma recognises that sound may be applied in different ways depending on the practitioner, setting, and population being supported. Throughout the programme, participants develop the confidence to make informed and responsive decisions within an appropriate scope of practice.

Embodied Sound Practice

Embodied Sound Practice provides the practitioner foundation of the diploma.

The emphasis is on listening, observation, relational awareness, and understanding how sound is experienced and responded to within real situations.

Learning is grounded in reflective practice, lived experience, and developing sensitivity to context rather than following fixed techniques or prescriptive methods.

Participants are encouraged to explore how sound may influence experience, response, interaction, and wellbeing across a variety of professional contexts.

Sound Bath Practice and Group Sound Facilitation

This area of practice explores the facilitation of group sound experiences, including those commonly referred to as sound baths.

Participants develop an understanding of how to structure, facilitate, and reflect upon group sound sessions with consideration for participant wellbeing, safety, ethical practice, pacing, group dynamics, and professional responsibility.

Attention is given to the practical application of sound within group settings while recognising that participant experiences may vary considerably.

Individual Sound Practice

This area of practice explores listening-led one-to-one sound work within professional settings.

The emphasis is on individual response, collaborative practice, professional boundaries, and adapting sound practice to the needs, experience, and context of the individual.

Participants explore how sound may be applied within one-to-one sessions in a responsive, reflective, and professionally appropriate manner.

Developing Your Practice

While all participants develop a shared foundation in applied and responsive sound practice, practitioners may naturally find themselves drawn towards particular areas of application over time.

Some may choose to focus primarily on group sound facilitation, others on individual sound practice, while many develop a combination of both within their professional setting.

The diploma is designed to support professional judgement, responsiveness, confidence, and ongoing development rather than prescribing a single way of working.

Who This Diploma Is For

This diploma is suited to those who:

  • Wish to deepen their understanding and application of sound within professional practice
  • Are interested in facilitating sound-based experiences with individuals and groups
  • Value listening, reflection, awareness, and responsiveness in their work
  • Are willing to engage in an experiential and applied learning process
  • Wish to develop confidence, clarity, and professional responsibility in how sound is offered

This diploma may be undertaken alongside an existing professional role or area of practice, or as a pathway towards developing sound practice as a primary area of work.

No prior musical experience is required.

Professional Scope

This diploma supports practitioners to develop and offer sound-based practice with individuals and groups within an appropriate and clearly defined scope.

Whether sound practice forms part of an existing profession or becomes a practitioner's primary area of practice, participants are encouraged to work responsibly, maintain appropriate insurance, and continue developing their knowledge and experience over time.

The diploma promotes listening-led, reflective, and ethically grounded practice, supporting practitioners to work with awareness of context, participant experience, professional responsibility, and the limits of their training and competence.

It does not provide training in clinical, medical, or regulated therapeutic intervention.

Entry into diploma-level training is guided by:

  • Reflective learning and application
  • Supported development between training sessions
  • Case study and practice requirements

Further details are provided upon application.

Dry Mouth Relief
Having been using these for quite awhile now for a severe dry mouth. They really help to make the mouth create saliva, thus protecting the teeth from erosion, etc. They are discs with a dark side which is placed above the teeth on the gum. It will stick there in a minute or two and remains in place until it melts and disappears. I use two at night and have never had a problem with them coming loose, this creating a choking hazard. They remain i place and melt. Sometimes I wake at night and my mouth is dry, so put a couple more in and I'm good to go until morning. I would recommend these to anyone with a dry mouth. There is no bad taste. They are somewhat expensive when using long term, but worth it to me. Have not found them locally, although Walmart has them online...same price or a little more than Amazon. Will continue to buy from these sellers.

If you have dry mouth, these are a fantastic option!!
I am a pharmacist, so I have come across and used a lot of different products to try to treat the chronic dry mouth problem that I have. This is by far the BEST product I have come across. They are a bit expensive, but I consider them worth the cost. You place the disc in your mouth, on your gum, and it adheres to the gum. The product lasts for a good hour for me. I use them when I go to sleep, to help avoid dry mouth and drainage down my throat when going to sleep. I use 2 when I go to bed, and sometimes have to wake up in the middle of the night to use 2 more. But I love them!! A similar product is OraMoist, but that product turns to a gel-like goo that I found very distasteful. Biotene is highly advertised, but absolutely useless for my problem. It made my throat scratchy and made me cough. Use this product instead!!

Always keep them at hand
After radiation I was left with compromised saliva production and these Xylimelts really help. I use one any time I feel my mouth becoming dry, when I’m going to do any sort of physical activity, when the weather is hot, after eating astringent foods or drinks - because the taste is very mild you can even keep one in your mouth while eating or drinking. They agreed really, really well out of sight on my gum line. I always put one in at night before sleep as I’m pretty sure they cut down on the dry throat that can lead to snoring. I have a pack in each purse, glove compartment, gym bag and pre-load several packs in my luggage so they’re always available. One of those little things that makes life easier and more pleasant. I’m overjoyed I survived cancer, but there have been changes after the fact. Xylimelts make at least one a whole lot easier to bear

Bowlby brilliantly exposes his new methodology
Format: Paperback
This book is a classic in attachment. It points to the beggining of the cientification of psychoanalysis. Bowlby brilliantly exposes his new methodology, influenced by ethology, but keeps Freud's ideas as his theoretical frame. Besides, it brings a foreword by Allan Schore, who went farther than Bowlby, thanks to the development of contemporary neuroscience. I strongly recommend it for those interested in mother-baby early communication.
