The primary purpose of cabin air filter is to help clean the air that enters into your vehicle through the ventilation system, keeping the air inside your vehicle clean and fresh. Location of this cabin filter: Passenger side of the vehicle under the glove box. Tools: Phillips-head screwdriver
When you change your filter (maybe variant for your model):
- Directly under the glove box, unbolt the kick panel and there are several screws to remove.
- Pull back the passenger side floor carpeting.
- Unplug on the interior kick panel plug on the under side on the panel.
- On the left side of the panel, disengage the retaining bracket and lift out the kick panel.
- In the vacated space, there is a white plastic cover on the left side. Remove this cover.
- Pull out the old cabin air filter and replace the new one in.
- Replace the rest of the assembly by reversing the removal procedure.
