Only 500 “Rambutan Night” illuminations each of three* sizes (three featured here), independent of the words used, will be made from the original 6.5”x9.75” colored pencil and gold illumination of the same name. ~ I lived in Japan for a while & had the pleasure of seeing some traditional kimonos. It stuck me how layers of cloth with seemingly very different colors & patterns worked so harmoniously together. Such memories inspired this color pallet which first had mulberry & finally gold around the star. © BKS *I had made 9 Rambutan Nights at size 3.5x5.3 before discontinuing the size.
