The Kramer Jersey Star boasts a rich heritage dating back to the golden age of '80s metal, and has been a weapon of choice for countless guitar heroes. Originally released in the heyday of hair metal, the Jersey Star quickly established itself as a reliable instrument, ready to offer a high-gain experience with some added versatility. The modern incarnation of the Jersey Star honors this legacy, offering a faithful recreation with top-notch components.
The Jersey Star features a double-cutaway body made from alder, its lower cutaway allowing easy access to higher frets. The classic "Star" logo sits on the upper bout, making it an instantly recognizable guitar for anyone familiar with the company's heritage.
The Jersey Star also features a comfortable three-piece maple neck with a sleek Elliptical "C" profile. The fingerboard, also made from maple, boasts twenty-two Medium Jumbo frets, and a broad 16-inch radius. Between frets, inlays in the shape of stars help to reinforce the name of this guitar.
This guitar comes ready to rock with a trio of Kramer USA Neptune pickups. A Neptune Rhythm in the bridge and neck positions delivers a tight, punchy sound, and the middle position also features a Neptune Rhythm, but with a coil-splitting option via a mini-toggle switch. A master volume and a single tone knob keep controls simple and intuitive, while helping to make use of the three pickups found in the body of this Jersey Star.
Of course, this instrument features a Floyd Rose 1000 Series Tremolo bridge that allows for explosive divebombing that works well with the pickup choices. This guitar comes with an included premium gigbag.
