The Pioneer PL-7L is a high-end Japanese direct-drive turntable introduced in 1984, built around a quartz-locked SHR motor, a massive 310 mm die-cast aluminium platter and a beautifully finished solid-wood chassis, but most prized for its rare straight ceramic oxide tonearm, a rigid, resonance-damping design that delivers exceptional detail retrieval and tracking stability. The PL-7L is celebrated among audiophiles for its superb speed accuracy, quiet operation and refined, dynamic sound, making it one of Pioneer’s most desirable flagship turntables of the 1980s.

Condition:
  • This unit has been used.

  • This unit has been tested and all functions are working as they should.

  • The cosmetic condition of this unit is great for a turntable released in 1984. It shows general marks, nicks and scratches. The most notable wear would be the platter has some surface oxidisation / marks on it. There is nothing major, nor anything which detracts from the use, functions or sound of this awesome turntable.
  • This unit will ship with ship with an Audio-Technica cartrdige and ATN-140Ea stylus. These have been used but are in great condition to get you started.

  • This unit ships with the rare, straight, ceramic tonearm. It is beautiful!

  • This unit ships with its orignal dust cover. It is in good condition, showing general wear from use and age like some marks, nicks and scratches.

  • Please be aware, this unit is 100V. This means you MUST connect it to the correct step-down transformer before powering it on. If you are unsure about this feel free to send us a message as we would be glad to help you source the correct item. We also have some for sale HERE.

  • The use of a step-down transformer may also apply to international buyers as well. Please ask if you are unsure so we can help you source the correct item.

  • This sale is for the PL-7L only. Nothing else is included in this sale.

I bought these as a cute Valentine’s Day present for my dog. He typically destroys any toy within 10 minutes of giving it to him. This rose lasts months and it’s his favorite. He could chew this toy for hours. Every couple of months he’ll get a small chunk of the stem off but the rest of the rose stays intact. He’s good about dropping and leaving the chunk he rips off but I’d just keep a cautious eye on your dog if you notice a piece is starting to break away. (Side note: when a piece does start breaking off, my husband and I both struggle and typically can’t rip it off) We let him play with it until it’s just the flower and then throw it away and repurchase. He also loves to play fetch with it. It’s not super bouncy but does have a little bit of a bounce if thrown on a hard ground. All we have to say is “Opie where’s your rose?” He goes running to his toy box and acts as a claw machine to get his rose specifically.
